The eternal question.

So here's the question.

If you were to die tonight, are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven ??

I bet you are thinking to yourself that you are a good person, God will let you in.

Besides, there are a lot of people worse than you.

No one is good but One, that is God.   Matthew19v17

Not a single one of us is good enough to get into heaven.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.   Romans 3V23

Why ??

Because we have broken God's laws.

Remember the 10 Commandments ??

On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law.

Romans 7v7

Have you ever told a lie ?  Yes, that makes you a liar.

Ever stolen anything regardless of the value ?  Yes, that makes you a thief.

Have you ever looked with lust ?

Jesus says that looking with lust is the same as adultery.  That makes you an adulterer.

So far we have only looked at 3 of the 10 Commandments.  Break one of them

and you have broken them all.

For whoever shall keep the whole law,and yet stumble in one point,

he is guilty of all.   James 2v10

By breaking the laws, that makes you a sinner.  He sees you as a lying, thieving,

adulterer at heart.

God will not allow any sin into heaven.

So, when God judges you when you die, will you go to heaven or hell ?

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement.

Hebrews 9v27

The answer is hell.

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, sorcerers, idolaters, and

all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire.   Revelation 21v8

The next question is, does that concern you ??

It should.

The human mind cannot comprehend spending forever in torment,

separated from God for eternity.

Remember, eternity is a very long time .......

What did God do so that we can be saved from hell and spend eternity with Him

in heaven ?

He sent His Son Jesus Christ to earth to die for our sins upon the cross.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that

whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3v16

What must you do to be saved ?

First you must admit that you are a sinner and have broken the laws of God.

Next you have to turn, or repent from those old habits and ways of life.

Now you need to go to God in prayer admitting that you have sinned against a

Holy God, that you are sorry and will stop doing these things that have kept

you from God.

For the wages of sin is death.  But the gift of God is eternal life in

Christ Jesus our Lord.   Romans 6v23

Believing that Jesus Christ came to die on the cross for our sins and rose again

3 days later. 

And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last.   Mark 15v37

But the angel answered and said the the women, "Do not be afraid,

for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.  He is not here:

for He is risen, as He said.   Matthew 28v5&6

Place your faith in Him for salvation.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves:

           it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.  

Ephesians 2V8&9

Pray to God, read his Word, the Holy Bible daily.  Find a bible teaching church

so that you can grow, learn, and fellowship with other believers.

If you have made this decision, the angels in heaven are rejoicing.

Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God

over one sinner who repents.   Luke 15v10
